IU to attend as a guest performer for Taeyang’s SOLAR Concert!

IU, being one of Taeyang’s major fangirls, is definitely not unfamiliar news. She has even acted out the role of Taeyang’s lucky back-dancer on a past episode of SBS Heroes, where she got the opportunity to peck his right cheek!

Well, IU is about to get even more lucky. She will be performing as a special guest for her ideal man’s concerts, which will unfold on the 25th and 26th at KyungHee University’s Hall Of Peace.

Actress Yoo In Na, who is signed under YG Entertainment, first heard news floating around about YGE being on a lookout for guest performers for Taeyang’s upcoming concerts. Yoo In Na then passed the news onto IU, who agreed without hesitation.

I wonder if she will perform for both days. It’ll be ironic if she does, seeing how the concert isn’t for minors but she is a minor herself.

Netizens impressed with SISTAR’s live singing voices

Although it was unfortunate for SISTAR’s Bora to suffer injuries during one of their performances, the girls have been doing extremely well by dominating various music charts, and even impressing netizens!

After making their comeback on KBS Music Bank back on the 27th, a MR (music recording)-removed video emerged which show off their talented vocals.

The ladies of SISTAR were able to show off their cute outfits along with their catchy choreography to match their singing voices. Netizens were very impressed to hear how well they could sing while completing the choreography.

Starship Entertainment stated, “Prior to SISTAR’s comeback, they have worked extremely hard on training their live voices and choreography to hopefully attract more fans.”

Hopefully Bora is able to recover quickly and safely from her thumb fracture so she can continue to carry out promotional activities comfortably.

Lee Minho achieves one million fans on Facebook

Talented actor, Lee Minho, was able to achieve something that doesn’t happen often, and that was reaching one million fans on his Facebook page!

To this date, Lee Minho is the first person from South Korea to achieve a total of one million fans on a Facebook page. With his page being open for just f0ur months, the amount of fans gained in such short amount of time is quite remarkable.

Via his official Facebook page, Lee Minho stated the following to his fans:

Hi, this is Min Ho Lee. Through Facebook, I’ve made about 1 million friends.When I first started Facebook, I didn’t think this many people would visit my page. I started with a small attempt to get to know my fans, but I’m happy that I’ve made so many friends as a result. There are many foreign fans who I don’t get to see often, and so I hope to keep in good contact through Facebook. Now wait! I will progress with a Facebook 1 million event! (2010.9.1 ~ 2010.9.13) If you have any questions for me, you can post it on my Facebook or Twitter page. Then I’ll try my best to send replies~~:) I hope many people participate in this~ Thank you~

2NE1 is now filming for their comeback MV

With girl group 2NE1’s title track confirmed, and with them having started the filming for their music video, preparations for their comeback are well underway.

2NE1 is set to reveal their first full album this coming September 9th, and there will be a total of 12 songs for this album. The release of 2NE1’s first full album will mark their first comeback after a year and two months away. Their last promotional activities were during July of 2009 for their follow-up track ‘I Don’t Care’ from their debut album.

It has been said that on the afternoon of the 30th, 2NE1 commenced the shooting on the music video for their first full album’s title track, called, ‘Go Away‘, somewhere in Gangwon-Do province. The track ‘Go Away’ will be one of three title tracks for their upcoming album.

2NE1’s entertainment company YG Entertainment revealed during an interview with MoneyToday Star News, “This is the first time we are announcing one of 2NE1’s title tracks being ‘Go Away’. They are currently in the middle of filming for the music video of ‘Go Away’ with the famous director, Cha Eun Taek. They should be finished with filming by tomorrow (31st)”.

They continued, “Leader CL will change into a female car racer for the music video ‘Go Away’. We believe CL’s change in image will be a different kind of enjoyment for the fans.”

Lastly, YG’s side added, “2NE1’s first full album will have three title tracks, but the music videos for the two remaining songs will be directed by another famous director, Seo Hyun Seung.”

F1rst reveals debut MV, ‘You Like Me, I Like You’

Rookie group, F1rst, a hybrid group consisting of four males and four females, released their remake debut single, You Like Me, I Like You, not too long ago, and they have been a hot issue ever since.

F1rst made a great start to their debut with the first performance of their title track on MBC’s Music Core, which received a positive response from viewers.

The co-ed group has finally released the official music video for their track, and it’s hot! Although there isn’t much change in scenery throughout the MV, they pull off a great variety of dance movements, starting off with some ballet, throwing in some leg splits, and even including some break dancing.

A preview snippet of Jay Park’s ‘Demon’

Jay Park recently completed the first stop of his worldwide fan meets not too long ago, and it was during the Seoul fan meets where he revealed for the first time, ‘Demon‘, an OST track for the movie ‘Hype Nation‘, produced by the famous Teddy Riley.

It won’t be too long now until the official track and MV drops, but thankfully for all the Jaywalkers out there, Jay’s B-boy crew Art of Movement recently uploaded a teaser of the music video, albeit unfinished, onto their official Youtube channel.

The teaser is only four seconds long, but hopefully these four precious seconds will leave his fans’ mouths watering and screaming for more.

Singer Seo TaiJi and idol group Big Bang have been chosen as the #1 combination which will be daebak (amazing/a hit) if they are to join together to form a group.

A poll was done on music site Monkey 3 from 19th till 26th August on ‘Which combination will be daebak if they are to form a project group’ and Seo TaiJi-Big Bang combiation was voted #1 on the poll with 42% of the votes from netizens.

Rookie hybrid group F1rst unleashes debut single

Last week we reported that 8 member rookie hybrid group F1rst with their 8 different kinds of charisma would debut on August 27th. Going against the trend of strictly boy or girl idol groups, this group will be a hybrid featuring 4 males and 4 females.

F1rst is debuting with their first digital single titled You Like Me, I Like You. This track is actually a remake of the 1980s hit song sung by singers Hyun Lee and Duck Lee. Now the digital single has been released!

This group seems raw but they have potential. Their Music video should be released shortly so keep an eye out for it. Remember to support the artist(s) by purchasing their music.

Jay Park does his part for charity

The ‘Do It Together, Love’s Kiss’ campaign opened on August 26th, as they introduced their new celebrity volunteer group.

Jay Park, who recently signed with SidusHQ and officially began his activities, joined his fellow artists for this event.

Jay Park made an appearance with a bright smile as he was taking part in the lip printing campaign event. The lip prints that have been contributed by the celebrities will be put into an auction, and all the profits will be donated in the celebrity’s name.

Actor Kim Soo Ro said,

“I’m glad that our company’s actors were able to do a good work together… Our company’s celebrities will work harder so that we can lead more good deeds.”

Wonder Girls release new WG cosmetic CF and MV

Earlier this year, the Wonder Girls established their own cosmetics brand, which also gave the group an opportunity to introduce the world to the latest addition to their group, Lim.

The group has recently released a 30-second CF promoting their cosmetic line WG, and it features the girls in a really bubbly and cute atmosphere. The girls are shown dancing around with larger versions of their products to a very cute CF jingle.

Winners at the 2010 Mnet 20’s Choice Awards Ceremony

The 4th edition of the 2010 Mnet 20’s Choice took place this evening at the Sheraton Grand Walker-Hill River Park’s swimming pool, and it was an ideal setting for the stuffy summer season.

There was a noticeable lack of star power at the event, as SM Entertainment and YG Entertainment both passed on the chance to send their artists tonight.

With the feud between Mnet and SME still ongoing, there was absolutely no chance of seeing their active artists like BoA, SHINee, SNSD, Super Junior, and f(x) attending this event.

YGE also announced that Big Bang was busy with Japan activities, and Se7en had another schedule, so therefore no artists from their side would be attending as well.

Regardless, let’s enjoy the awards show and performances!

Hallyu stars gather for a special drama Haru

From 2PM’s recent campaign song, Boom Boom Boom, to this upcoming drama, Haru, it looks like all of Korea’s stars are participating in promoting the year of visiting Korea. Hallyu stars, Yunho, Kim Bum, Big Bang, Han Chae Young, Park Shi Hoo, and Lee Da Hae have gathered for the Omnibus drama Haru (Day), produced by the Korean National Tourism Organization.

This drama has been produced in honor of 2010 being the year of visiting Korea. The meeting between the drama’s all-star cast and staff has drawn much attention to the drama. In Haru, Yunho is an action star in a play, Kim Bum is a photographer, Lee Da Hae is a screenwriter, Han Chae Young and Park Shi Hoo play the couple in Lee Da Hae’s scenario, and Big Bang is a group that finds a school that is being shut down and holds a mini-concert for the students.

The first round of filming has taken place at Busan Station, GwangAn Bridge, Yangpyeong, Gyeonggi-do, Haerang Train, and Hangang. This drama will portray Korea’s beauty through it’s new convention, beautiful cinematography, and captivating soundtrack.

There is no doubt that this special drama is going to be a hit in Asia.

Yunho has already entered the Asian market through his activities with TVXQ, Kim Bum has attained Hallyu stardom through Boys Over Flowers, Big Bang has been sensational with their album releases in Japan, Han Chae Young has been getting ready for her Hollywood debut, and Lee Da Hae played the heroine of popular drama Chuno.

The drama is set to be released at the end of September.

A photo taken on the set of the upcoming KBS drama, Fugitive, has become a hot issue among netizens. Among the photos that have been released through the drama’s webpage, this particular photo has attracted much attention because, in the photo, Rain is seen fanning a female staff member.

It appears that the staff member who posted the picture on the website is a fan of Rain. She expressed,
